The first and the most important rule to be a successful blogger is to post constantly. Dont worry about SEO and stuff, just stick to the basics and post articles constantly. Also make sure to submit your site to Google, Yahoo and MSN for good traffic in the future.
Secondly, make sure to post original content rather than copying and pasting articles from other websites. Write fresh articles that catches peoples attention. Do remember Freshness means traffic. If you are tech blogger then make sure to write about latest technology updates that come to your desk. This practice should grab your readers attention.
The third and the most important rule is to use social sites effectively. Be an active social person in at least 2 social networking sites to become famous in short period of time. Facebook and twitter are the sites I use to gather reputation and traffic to my blog. However, you can always consider other sites that suits you.
These are the three basic steps that worked perfectly well for me to gain good traffic and reputation in the society. Hope these tips can help you improvise your blogs performance to a great extent.
